Week 3

My truck is still in the shop being fixed. I don't trust the insurance company OR the body shop. I feel they fall into the same category as car salesmen. Enough on that matter.

Great week for training. I am seeing some really nice increases in aerobic levels and speed. This past week my key bike workout was 2:01 and a distance of 46.9 miles. Avg speed was 23.15 mph. This workout was designed to build up lactic acid and see how I faired taxing the legs. Everything went well. Hydration and nutrition seemed ok but I am still dialing that in. Key run workout was mile repeats. This workout is after I have warmed up, I run 1 mile at my expected marathon pace less :30. So my repeats were 8:15, 8:30,8:30 and 8:15. I am really working on going for a sub 4 hour marathon at CDA but at this time I am not sure if my legs can handle that after the ride. We'll be finding out really soon with some upcoming brick workouts.

This coming week-end will be bike hill climbing through North Clark County. Here is a preview of the elevation we will be riding. The picture of the hill is at mile 26 to give you some idea of what I will be riding.
